Sandy Valley's July 4th parade was once again, a huge success!! This year we had it again at 10 am, instead of at 6 pm like in year's past. This turned out to be a wise decision because the overcast sky provided cool weather for us all!! The parade starts out , for our family, at the fire station. We decorate the trucks (with the rest of the Fire dept. family) and get all the kids positioned on top of the engine.
Hey Felicity and Blake...
Jilli got to ride atop the engine this year with the Cheif's daughter, Kenzi.
The lighting was low, but here is the Caption of the squad, also known as my husband Scott, driving the squad with all the ladies, save for me, on top.
OK, because I was in the parade, I couldn't get many pictures. But this little guy passed us, and Scott told me to get a picture. This was SOOO cute!
There goes the Sandy Valley Jail. You could pay a dollar and have someone "arrested".
There go the kids......They were supposed to throw candy from the float....but somehow they ended up eating most of it....lol
After the parade, it started to rain, so I don't have anyother pictures except for these last two.....Blake waiting for the sun to go down for the fireworks.....
And Jilli and Grant being goofy!!
Then, of course, one of Sandy Valley's famous beautiful sunsets......
Hopefully you all had as much fun as we did!! Happy 4th of July!!!
