Directions for the cookies:
You'll not only be making cookies, but telling the Easter story as well!!
*Preheat the oven to 300. This is important that you do this first!!
*In a sealed Ziploc bag, crush the pecans, and talk about how Jesus was beaten, read John 19:1-3.
*Smell the vinegar, put it in the mixing bowl and talk about the sour wine they gave Jesus to drink on the cross, read John 19:28-30.
*Taste the salt, put it in the bowl with the vinegar, and talk about how Jesus cried for what was happening, read Luke 23:27 .
*Place the egg whites in the bowl, and whip them for 2 min. The eggs represent life, read John 10:10-11.
*Add the sugar while beating the whites. The sugar represents Jesus' dying on the cross for all our sins, read John 3:16.
Continue beating until you get stiff, white peaks. The white represents purity in new life from Jesus. Read Is. 1:18 & John 3:1-3
*Fold in the nuts carefully. Drop into tsp. mounds, to make tombs. Read Matt 27:57-60.
*Put the cookie sheet in the oven, and turn it off. Seal it with tape. Read Matt 27:65-66.
* Go to bed. You may feel sad, read John 16:20-22.
*In the morning, open the oven and eat a cookie, Hollow cookies, empty Tomb read Matt 28:1-9.
Enjoy your Easter with your family, and celebrate the risen Savior!!
